FEATURED IN..
As an artist, I always struggled with the idea that I have to stick to one medium. My main "thing" could only be photography, and I only classified myself as such. However, this never has to be the case and I had the opportunity to realize that when I took a Contemporary Arts Practices class my senior year.
I thought this class was actually going to media/photography practice, but contemporary. I was a little wrong. Through this class, I got to explore the world of performance art, Fluxus, and multimedia creation. Needless to say, contemporary art can be a little unconventional at times. Questioning. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. But my professor seemed to think I was doing well, and me and my talented peers had the chance to have some of our work featured in various publications.
Below are links to a UT Dallas Mercury article featuring my performance piece for #Metoo, a feature in the NYC based online art magazine called "swifts & slows", and a virtual exhibit by the UT Dallas SPN Gallery (you can find our work on the guide points GI-9 through GI-12).
